Custom lifting systems
Lift masts, chassis and subsystems
Vaggeryds Maskin AB designs and manufactures lift masts, chassis and integrated subsystems for material handling. Over many years we have built up unique expertise in the design and manufacture of truck components — everything is tested in our own test facility with a test rig for lift heights up to 14 metres.

Our offering
From single component to integrated lifting system
A lift mast is the vertical structure on a truck or AGV that lifts, lowers and stabilises the load. We design and manufacture lift masts, chassis and integrated subsystems, and deliver to well-known players in material handling — from traditional trucks to AGVs and automation — and we welcome enquiries from new customers looking for an experienced manufacturing partner.
Lift masts tested up to 14 m
Simplex, duplex, triplex, quad and trilateral. Capacity 200–8,000 kg, lift height up to 12 m — tested on a test rig up to 14 metres.
Chassis & structural subsystems
Welded and machined chassis and structural components for integration into trucks and material handling equipment.
Customised for AGV & automation
Integrated lifting systems found at leading manufacturers of driverless trucks — modular design, tailored to each customer's unique requirements.
Stationary lifts
Fixed lifting and handling equipment — repalletising stations, rotators and fork units, complementing our mobile lift masts.
Test running & quality assurance
ISO 9001 and 14001 certified processes. All lift masts are test run in our own test facility before delivery.

Types of lift masts
A modular system means the right mast type and roller diameter can be chosen for every application — from compact simplex masts to trilateral side-loading masts for narrow-aisle trucks.

Simplex
Single-stage lift mast for lift heights up to approx. 2 m. Used in low-lift applications.
Duplex
With initial free lift, full free lift or no free lift, for heights up to approx. 5 m.
Triplex
Three-stage mast, often with full free lift. Suitable for lift heights above approx. 4.5 m or where the collapsed height is critical.
Quad
Four-stage mast, used primarily where ceiling or doorway height is limiting and four stages are needed to minimise the mast height.
Trilateral
For side-loading in narrow-aisle trucks, often above 10 m lift height. Handles loads over 1,000 kg with telescopic forks or swivel units.
Frequently asked questions
Custom lifting systems — questions and answers
What is a lift mast?
A lift mast is the vertical structure on a forklift truck or AGV that lifts, lowers and stabilises the load. We manufacture simplex, duplex, triplex, quad and trilateral masts adapted to lift height and load.
What lift heights and capacities can your lift masts handle?
Simplex, duplex, triplex, quad and trilateral with capacity from 200 to 8,000 kg and lift height up to 12 metres. A test rig at our own facility tests the masts up to 14 metres of lift height.
Which customers do you deliver to?
Among others AGVE, MaxAGV, Solving and Toyota Material Handling.
Do you also manufacture complete trucks?
Yes. In addition to custom lifting systems, we manufacture complete trucks for wheel handling, distributed through our reseller Wheelsystem. Read more about tyre handling trucks →
Where are the products manufactured?
All design and manufacturing takes place at our facility in Vaggeryd, Sweden, with support from our sister company Ljungsarps Mekaniska AB.
